A Ban on Food Dyes and coloring! YAY!!

Finally! Heres a snippet of what was in the article~~~

*****Products containing the dyes include Kraft Foods Inc.'s guacamole flavor dip, which gets its "greenish" color from Yellow 5, Yellow 6, and Blue 1 rather than from avocados, according to the center, which wants to ban each of those dyes. The "blue bits" in Aunt Jemima blueberry waffles, made by a company owned by Blackstone Group LP, are blue because of Red 40 and Blue 2, not blueberries, according to the center.

The group also wants the FDA to ban Green 3, Orange B, and Red 3. Many of the dyes are produced in China and India, according to the center.

The center's petition urges the FDA to require a warning label on foods with artificial dyes while it considers the request to ban them.

I have been a firm believer that food additives are not only unnecessary but harmful! Studies show that many people have allergies to them, especially kids!
All that sh** we put into our systems without blinking an eye...
I shudder when I read that the dyes are produced in China whom in the past and present has had no regard or quality assurance protecting us from the lead infestation it has in a multitude of products it so happily sends to us. Sending things made of melted used batteries. Thanks China!
Of course the FDA and major labels like General Mills and Kraft won't admit that the food dyes are bad, they stand to lose billions of dollars. Lets face it, they want to make a colorful product cheap! Dried blueberrys are expensive! (but worth it! yum!) They are in it for the money, not our health.
So be proactive, shop organic and natural. The food tastes better and is actually what your body needs as fuel! Would you rather eat a bowl full of:
** fat, ripe, juicy blueberries OR a bowl full of waxy, resinous bits of Red Dye 40 and Blue 2?
Just because its on the shelf at the grocer and the FDA says its "ok" doesn't mean it IS OK!!
