Waikiki Aquarium and Ice Skating

SO we managed 3 of the list the other day and here are the pics! The Aqaurium is so nice too, beautiful fishes and cute Monk Seals too~
The grassy picnic area was like a golf green. We made the human pyramid!
Ice skating Hawaiian style is a bit different than back home in MN. It was packed like sardines in there and there were no pro's to watch in the middle but verrry, very good people watching~~~
I wish they could have played The Gear Daddies I Want To Drive The Zamboni while it was tooling around. Maybe they haven't ever heard of it?

Our vacation in Waikiki

So, you'd think we would do more while here, right?
We won a free night at the Hale Koa from Troy's Christmas party, in 2007!!! Yeah, like we were waiting for it to expire while it aged? It wasn't wine I told Troy! we were going!
OF course it rained so the pool was not an option. We walked around Waikiki and thru Hilton Hawaiian Village and later, Dennis, Angela and the kids came over and we went to Dukes for an awesome dinner. An added plus was that the Royal Hawaiian Hotel was hosting its grand re-opening gala next door and we had the table closest to the party!! THe Gala tables were to rumored at costing $10,000 a piece! WE sat at our relatively free table and enjoyed music and a strange dance with asian women dressed as swans dancing a sort of water dance to music. We'll call it interpretive 'swan' dance with cool lights. THe best surprise was when the huge fireworks display lit up the Waikiki bay! It was really cool, especially for the kids and an added plus was that Ryan, for the first time, was not freaked out and hiding.
Here are some pics of our view, dinner and the wildlife at the Hawaiian Hilton Village.
